UPDATE: The Dolphins worked out four receivers and gave Mike Thomas and Ben Obomanu physicals, reported the Miami Herald's Adam Beasley. No signings yet, though.
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Gibson is out for the season after tearing his patella tendon, reported NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. The loss hurts as Gibson's accumulated 326 yards on 30 catches and 44 targets with three touchdowns. He's been the clear No. 3 option at the position. The Dolphins reportedly were set to have WR tryouts today. As they now only have three healthy pass catchers on the roster, who could the Dolphins pick up to replace Gibson?
