One of the factors that often holds a skilled tight end back from being a factor in the passing game is when he is on a team with a deficiency on the offensive line. In those cases, the tight end often has to stay in to help block, decreasing the chances he has to slip out and catch passes. With that in mind, it's fair to wonder whether the Denver Broncos losing left tackle Ryan Clady for the season will affect tight end Julius Thomas' ability to maintain his hot start to the season.
