UPDATE: Not surprisingly, the Giants intend to work out a few running backs Tuesday, following Sunday's backfield struggles. Per ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, they will take a look at Willis McGahee, Joe McKnight and former Giant Brandon Jacobs. None of them seem like a long-term solution at this stage of their respective careers, but they could provide some depth.
But in the end, the pressure will remain on David Wilson to figure out how to secure the football.
Wilson's second NFL season started just like his first: with the ball on the ground and his rear end on the bench. To Giants coach Tom Coughlin's credit, he reinserted the running back after the first fumble -- that's something he didn't do last year -- but he got burned when Wilson fumbled a second time and the Dallas Cowboys scored on the turnover. With Ahmad Bradshaw gone, Andre Brown injured, and Da'Rel Scott, Wilson's replacement Sunday night, not as skilled, the Giants have only two options: Find a free-agent replacement, or fix his fumble-itis.
