UPDATE: Per Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, "The Browns are still trying to determine if running back Dion Lewis' fractured left fibula is a season-ending injury, or if he's candidate for short-term injured reserve. ..."
Lewis will undergo further testing today before an assessment will be made on his roster status.
We knew that Trent Richardson was going to be the rare heavily featured NFL running back this season, with 300-plus carries available for him. That plans was by design, because coach Rob Chudzinski and offensive coordinator Norv Turner like to lean on one back. However, injuries to the Cleveland Browns backfield may make it a necessity.
