Danario Alexander had his torn right ACL surgically repaired on Thursday. The procedure went well, but all Alexander has going forward are questions about his future in the NFL. This was the first surgery on that joint, but he already has had five procedures on his left knee and he never played more than 10 games in any of his three years as a pro.
His contract is an issue, too, because he'll be an unrestricted free agent next offseason. So, instead of using 2012's second-half breakout as a springboard to a big 2013 campaign and a big payday, he'll be searching for a team to roll the dice on his repeatedly damaged knees in 2014.
