Latest buzz on ending blackouts

Until last season, NFL teams had to sell out within 72 hours of a home game in order to avoid having the contest blacked out on TV. The rule instated for the 2012 campaign dropped that sales requirement to 85 percent of all tickets. On Wednesday, the FCC voted in favor of a proposal that would nix the blackout rule entirely.
