When prospects and teams leave the scouting combine in Indianapolis in late February, it always marks the start of a lull within the draft process. Teams focus on the free-agency period as well as sending coaches and scouts all over the country to cover the pro-day circuit during March.
As for us at Scouts Inc., this is a period when we get some time to dig deep into the coaches' copy tape to write new evaluations and clean up old ones from the preseason. With that said, here is a quick review of some prospects and positions that have jumped out during this period along with some buzz from a few NFL personnel coaches or evaluators.
