Scouts Inc. is on-site at the annual East-West Shrine Game and will be providing updates throughout. Here are some players making impressions:
• Chattanooga QB B.J. Coleman tried to thread the needle on a throw and almost threw a pick. He has the arm strength to fit the ball into tight spaces, but he can't lock on to the receiver like he did with Miami's LaRon Byrd on that play. Coleman is raw, but he has all kinds of physical tools and upside.
• Penn State's Nick Sukay did a good job of tracking the ball and making the play on an interception, though Northern Illinois QB Chandler Harnish put too much air on the ball and made it a much easier play. Sukay is a former strong safety now playing outside linebacker, and at only 211 pounds he needs to add 15-20 pounds. Still, he showed coverage range and ball skills on the pick.
