Oregon State adds commitment No. 24
By Erik McKinney
Oregon State added commitment No. 24 to its 2013 recruiting class on Wednesday and the Beavers left the mainland to get it done.
For the second time in this class, Oregon State landed a verbal commitment from a Hawaiian standout.
This time, it was defensive end Titus Failauga (Honolulu/Mid Pacific Institute). The 6-foot-4, 237-pound defender took an official visit to Oregon State in November, and despite a strong push from the hometown Warriors and an official visit to Hawaii this past weekend, Failauga felt comfortable enough to make a verbal commitment to the Beavers on Wednesday, confirming the commitment to ESPN via text message.
Both of Oregon State's defensive end commits hail from Hawaii, as Failauga joins Manase Hungalu (Kailua-Kona, Hawaii/Kealakehe) in this class.
Failauga also held offers from Hawaii, San Diego State and Utah.
