Greenlee back from Mississippi State visit

By Erik McKinney

As signing day nears, programs across the country are making last minute pushes for committed and uncommitted players. With Mississippi State looking to land a quarterback, the Bulldogs' attention turned to Fresno State commit and ESPN 150 prospect Zack Greenlee (Stockton, Calif./Lincoln).

An offer was extended and Greenlee decided to take an official visit to Mississippi State this past weekend.

"It was obvious that Miss. State was in a hurry to get a [quarterback] committed," Greenlee stated via text message. "I felt I owed it to my family and myself to at least take a look at it. The new facilities were great, and I think Coach Mullen is going to be very successful there."

Upon returning home, however, Greenlee decided the best fit for him is the program that offered months ago.

"I enjoyed the visit, but in the end I'm sticking with my commitment to Fresno State," he said.

It's a big recruiting win for Fresno State, which keeps its lone ESPN 150 prospect committed and will bring in Greenlee as the quarterback of the future.
