Finding the Future: Passing Down

FULLERTON, Calif. -- There has been no shortage of underclassman talent during the 7-on-7 circuit this offseason, and the turnout in the Passing Down Best of the West tournament Sunday at Fullerton College was no exception.

2015 QB Tyler Hilinski

6-feet-3, 181 pounds

Upland (Calif.)

Hilinski guided Body by Tra to the tournament championship, shredding a B2G Five Star defense that featured defensive backs Denzel Fisher, Jonathan Lockett and Iman Marshall in the final round. With another impressive passing display, Hilinski continued to prove he deserves to be mentioned alongside Kevin Dillman, Josh Rosen, Ricky Town and Brady White as one of the area's top 2015 quarterbacks.

“The main thing, outside of his DNA, is the work he does on the side with quarterback coaches,” Body by Tra assistant coach Scott Mitchell said. “His timing right now, for a young guy, is at a place that is very, very positive. I look forward to seeing him continue to grow as a player. For him to be that comfortable in the pocket at this stage, he has a chance to play for a while.”

2015 ATH Stanley Norman
