As soon as the 2012 football season ended, Isaiah Brandt-Sims (Wenatchee, Wash./Wenatchee) went to work on his speed.
The 5-foot-11, 172-pound running back tested his talent on the track over the weekend, competing in the 60 meters at the Brooks PR Invitational at Washington’s Dempsey Indoor.
Competing against some of the nation’s top high school sprinters, Brandt-Sims finished third, posting a time of 6.64 seconds. To get a sense for how fast Brandt-Sims was moving, event winner Cameron Burrell (Missouri City, Texas/Ridge Point) ran a 6.61 -- No. 2 all time.
