It was well worth the trip for Thomas Sperbeck (Carmichael, Calif./Jesuit), as the senior took an official visit to Boise State this past weekend and returned with a scholarship offer from the Broncos.
It is the fourth offer for the 6-foot, 167-pound, two-way standout, as Boise State joins Army, Colorado State and San Jose State. At this point, it looks like a three-team race between the Rams, Spartans and Broncos, which Sperbeck visited in that order over the past three weekends.
Sperbeck said upon returning home from the visit that he thinks his commitment will be to one of those three schools and could come "probably pretty soon, to be honest."
