There was a chance that junior college defensive tackle Lyndon Tulimasealii (Palm Desert, Calif./College of the Desert) would sign on Dec. 19. But the 6-foot-4, 270-pound lineman was forced to reschedule several official visits due to finals week and will likely wait to sign in the spring.
Tulimasealii is comfortable listing Oregon State and Utah as his top two choices -- in that order -- but that also has to do with the fact that those are the two schools the defensive tackle has seen on official visits. He has an official visit to Pittsburgh set up for Jan. 18 and was forced to push back trips to Kansas and Washington State. The Jayhawks specifically have Tulimasealii's interest, and he said he will visit Kansas in January.
"Kansas looks pretty promising," he said. "Just the experience they have with their coaches. Coach Weis has won Super Bowls and Coach Campo has won Super Bowls. Those two have about 40 years of experience in the NFL."
