One of the more highly recruited tight ends in the junior college ranks has the rest of his visits planned after a busy week on the recruiting trail. Brandon Vandenburg (Palm Desert, Calif./College of the Desert), who holds more than 20 offers, continues to receive plenty of attention, as Nebraska and Tennessee offered this week. The offers from the Cornhuskers and Volunteers were enough to lock in visits from Vandenburg, who will have a busy January.
The 6-foot-6, 262-pound tight end took an official visit to Connecticut on Nov. 30 and will use all five of his trips before signing on Feb. 6. He will trip to Tennessee on Jan. 4, Nebraska on Jan. 11, Vanderbilt on Jan. 18 and Miami on Jan. 25.
He said the Tennessee offer didn't come as a surprise this week, because head coach Butch Jones was recruiting him hard while he was at Cincinnati.
