In need of an immediate infusion of talent, Kansas hasn't been shy about going after junior college prospects in the 2013 class. The Jayhawks added their 15th overall commitment, and ninth from the juco ranks, Monday as cornerback Cassius Sendish (Yuma, Ariz./Arizona Western) pledged to head coach Charlie Weis.
Sendish spoke to coaches from his final three schools -- Indiana, Kansas and Toledo -- on Sunday and told them that he needed one final night to sleep on it and would announce his decision on Monday. Sendish said he informed Kansas defensive coordinator Dave Campo of his decision during a visit and called Weis shortly afterward.
"They were fired up," Sendish said. "We're all excited about it."
