Cornerback Devin Ross (Mission Hills, Calif./Alemany) is the No. 2 recruit in Colorado's class, and the three-star athlete has plenty of options, with a dozen scholarship offers. Ross said Colorado's poor season on the field has had him thinking about other schools for some time, and head coach Jon Embree's firing pushed him in the direction of decommitting, but there won't be a decision yet from Ross.
"I'm just going to wait and see who their coach is," Ross said of Colorado. "I think I can still end up there; I just have to see who the coach is and what other recruits they get. I still have to visit there too."
Ross is good friends with fellow Colorado commit, wide receiver Elijah Dunston (West Hills, Calif./Chaminade), and he said the two would like to set up an official visit together later in the year.
