Junior college tight end Beau Sandland (Woodland Hills, Calif./Pierce) released his top five schools on Thursday morning, as the 6-foot-5, 250-pound athlete whittled down a list of 25 offers.
Arizona State, Miami, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas Tech are the schools standing at the top for Sandland, who announced the list in a text message and said there is no order among the five.
Sandland has taken official visits to Nebraska and Oklahoma, as well as Mississippi. Earlier this fall, he was forced to eliminate all SEC schools from his list of potential destinations, due to an academic rule that would not allow a certain class to transfer. Rather than remain enrolled for an extra semester to take a transferable class, Sandland said he would make the cut to his schools of interest due to his determination to graduate and enroll early at his school of choice.
