Watch List QB Dawkins visits Notre Dame

Notre Dame always has a recruiting presence on the West Coast, and the Fighting Irish made a statement this past offseason as they were the first program to offer a scholarship to 2014 quarterback Brandon Dawkins (Westlake Village, Calif./Oaks Christian). Since that time, the ESPN Watch List quarterback has picked up an offer from Utah, as well as increased interest from programs such as Tennessee and UCLA.
This weekend, Dawkins took an unofficial visit to Notre Dame, the first time he has been on the South Bend, Ind., campus.
"It was really cool," Dawkins said. "That was the first big-time game I've been to and that's probably going to be one of the best games of the year. The finish was amazing."
