Northern California once again will be represented by some outstanding talent in the Class of 2014, and outside linebacker Michael Lazarus (Berkeley, Calif./Berkeley) will be one of the players for recruiting fans to keep an eye on. College coaches already have the 6-foot-2, 205-pound linebacker in their sights.
Interest is increasing in Lazarus from schools such as Boise State, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Oregon and Vanderbilt. Last weekend, Lazarus took an unofficial visit to California and watched the Golden Bears defeat the UCLA Bruins.
"When I went to Cal, I got to go into the locker room and meet all the coaching staff," Lazarus said. "It was fun and a great experience. I felt at home being at Cal."
