The USC Trojans have made Max Redfield (Mission Viejo, Calif./Mission Viejo) a priority in this recruiting class, and on Tuesday at the Rising Stars Camp, they offered a potential glimpse into the future.
Though Redfield doesn't participate in many spring or summer camps due to a schedule busy with high school commitments, Lane Kiffin and staff made a point to get the 6-foot-2, 181-pound athlete on campus and another point to line him up next to Su'a Cravens (Murrieta, Calif./Vista Murrieta) during the morning session of Tuesday's camp.
Redfield said a big selling point in his decision to attend was the chance to play alongside Cravens. He wanted to see how that would work, with both dynamic athletes on the field at the same time. Redfield played free safety while Cravens played strong safety, the first time the two manned the same secondary.
