At the Eugene NFTC everyone expected two ESPN 300 members to be the stars of the offensive line group. While No. 183 Scott Quessenberry (Carlsbad, Calif./La Costa Canyon) and No. 171 Evan Voeller (West Linn, Ore./West Linn) represented themselves well, it was another Portland-area prospect that impressed with a standout performance.
With offers from Colorado, Wyoming, Eastern Washington and Northern Colorado, Andrew Kirkland (Portland, Ore./Jesuit) made the trip to Eugene with one goal in mind.
"I wanted to show everyone that I can compete with anyone along the line. I play tackle for my school but most schools are talking to me about sliding inside to guard once I get to school," said the No. 6 player in Oregon.
