Robert Lewis (Los Angeles, Calif./Southeast) took an official visit to Washington State over the weekend. The athlete didn’t commit on the trip, but said he came very close several times.
Lewis played mostly running back in high school but is being recruited primarily as a slot receiver. He was an early commit to SMU but recently decommitted and is now looking at other options.
“I had a great visit, and I really loved it there,” Lewis said. “In fact, I had the itch to commit several times but decided I wanted to wait things out and take the rest of my visits. Washington State has everything I’m looking for, though. Coach [Mike] Leach is a great guy and a great offensive minded football coach.
