Jerico Richardson (Mission Hills, Calif./Alemany) committed to UCLA back in September, but with a new staff and several defensive backs currently committed, the athlete could delay his enrollment.
Richardson is one of the region’s most versatile defensive backs and could play corner or safety at the next level. He played both positions this past season and also saw action at receiver.
“I’m still solid with UCLA,” Richardson said. “I’m not looking at any other schools, and I like the new coaching staff that’s there now. They’re talking to me about coming in as a greyshirt now so I can spend some extra time getting bigger and faster. I’m not sure if they’re saying I have the option to greyshirt but could still come in the fall, or if I have to greyshirt. I need to talk to them more about it, but I’m fine either way. I’m just excited to be going there.”
