Cal now in the lead for Foster
Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro running back D.J Foster took an official visit to Cal over the weekend and the Bears are now in a very good position for the talented athlete. It wasn’t long ago when this was a two-team race between Arizona State and Oregon. The Sun Devils were the heavy favorites and when the Ducks were eliminated, it seemed to be a slam dunk win for ASU.
The Sun Devils dragged their feet a bit in naming a new coach, the assistants on staff that Foster was close to were not retained and Cal was able to make up significant ground. There is still an outside chance ASU and USC will get an official visit in January as well, but Cal has now taken a solid lead for Foster.
