Things have definitely picked up for quarterback Nate Sudfeld (Modesto Christian, Calif.) in recent weeks. The Arizona commit wasn’t sure how he would fit in with new Wildcats coach Rich Roidriguez, but Arizona remains a major player for the talented signal-caller.
Sudfeld, a four-star prospect ranked as the No. 14 quarterback in the country, had his concerns when news broke that Rodriguez would be the new Wildcat coach.
“I’m a pro-style quarterback and I originally thought Coach Rodriguez was a spread-option guy,” Sudfeld said. “That’s what he ran at Michigan and West Virginia so I assumed I would be going in a different direction and didn’t really think he would see me as an option for the offense he wanted to run.
