Cornerback Darius Allensworth (Romoland, Calif./Heritage) committed to California back in August, but after the Golden Bears' disappointing season and a complete overhaul of the coaching staff, the 5-foot-11, 174-pound athlete opened himself up to the recruiting process while staying committed.
Texas Tech, Wisconsin and Washington State entered the picture for the three-star, but over the weekend he had an opportunity to visit Cal.
