Running back Shaquille Powell (Las Vegas, Nev./Bishop Gorman) visited Nevada over the weekend and will head to the East Coast for his next official visit.
Powell, a three-star recruit and the No. 4 player in the state, is a talented two-way player but is being recruited primarily at running back.
“I liked Nevada a lot, it’s a good, comfortable fit for me,” Powell said. “They have a good offense and I think I could play early there. The pistol offense is something new but I think I could get used to it. Location doesn’t really matter to me, I just want to find a place where I can get better and where I’m comfortable and I think Nevada fits that.”
