The Arizona State recruiting class has seen several decommitments this year, as the most recent came from junior college cornerback Damarious Randall (Mesa, Ariz./Mesa College) this past Tuesday. The good news for the Sun Devils is that they remain in the running for Randall, despite some confusion in that front in the immediate aftermath of his decommitment.
"I was telling them I was 100 percent with ASU, but they said I could still take visits," Randall said of the Sun Devils coaching staff. "A bunch of my high school and college coaches were telling me there was nothing wrong with taking visits and to see what's out there to offer. The ASU coaches didn't like that, but I ended up talking to Coach [Todd] Graham and everything is smoothed out."
Randall, who will sign in February and have two years to play two, now has a final group consisting of Arizona State, Florida State, Louisville, Nebraska and TCU. All but the Seminoles have offered.
