Lakewood (Calif.) wide receiver Darius Powe will take his first official visit this weekend. Could he join a current teammate in the Northwest?
Powe, No. 86 in the ESPNU 150, will head to Oregon State this week along with his good friend and teammate Malik Gilmore. Gilmore has already committed to the Beavs and has been recruiting Powe very hard since the summer.
“He’s on me every day,” Powe said. “He’s a big reason why I’m interested in Oregon State. He’s a good friend and it would be great to play with him in college. Right now, I’m very high on Oregon State, they’re probably recruiting me harder than anyone.
