California added its first commitment of the Sonny Dykes era on Saturday night when cornerback Cameron Walker (Los Angeles/Loyola) pledged to the Golden Bears.
The 5-foot-11, 180-pound cornerback said he isn't sure what will happen as Dykes fills out his staff, but that wasn't going to sway his decision.
"I'd prefer the DB coach to be coach [Ashley] Ambrose because we've gotten to know each other," Walker said. "But if he isn't there, I'm still going to be a Bear."
