Washington State continues to excel in the junior college ranks with the 2013 recruiting class, as the Cougars added a commitment from defensive end Lyman Faoliu (San Mateo, Calif./College of San Mateo) on Thursday. Assistant head coach Tim Tulloch said an official visit for the Apple Cup and the experience with several players on the roster played a big role for the 6-foot-2, 275-pound lineman.
"Lyman's big thing was the family feel," Tulloch said. "He comes from a great family and that was his No. 1 thing. He wanted it to be the right fit."
During his visit, Faoliu had an opportunity to spend time with Washington State linebacker Justin Sagote, who also attended College of San Mateo and did a terrific job recruiting his former teammate. But ultimately, it was Faoliu's decision to make.
