La Mirada High School has hosted more than its share of college coaches over the past two weeks. There is good reason though, as the Matadores are stocked with talent at the senior, junior and sophomore levels.
While the headliners reside in the 2014 class, the 2013 recruiting class is well represented by linebacker Koa Kaleopaa and offensive guard Spencer Ueli-Fa'atoalia.
The 6-foot-3, 250-pound Kaleopaa holds offers from programs such as Arizona, Arkansas, California, Mississippi, Utah and Washington State. California has put together a strong push for the senior, who registered 45 tackles and five sacks this season. Colorado coaches will have an opportunity to make an impression during an in-home visit on Tuesday night, but the Golden Bears will have their chance either Wednesday or Thursday night. It wouldn't be shocking to see a possible commitment from Kaleopaa during or shortly after that visit.
