Arizona State added commitment No. 17 to its 2013 recruiting class on Monday, as safety Jayme Otomewo (Los Angeles/Dorsey) called the Sun Devils coaches to inform them of his decision.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound defensive back held offers from Colorado, Fresno State and Hawaii in addition to Arizona State, but decided that enough research on the schools had been done.
"Before I committed, I was talking to Coach [Chris] Ball earlier today and he said I'm the type of safety he needs and they want to get me down to Arizona State," Otomewo said. "When I got off the phone I talked to my family and said I really like this place. I called him back about 20 minutes later and said, 'I want to be a Sun Devil.'"
