The good news for UCLA continued into Sunday, as the Bruins big win over USC helped them land another commitment for the 2013 class. Athlete Darren Andrews (La Puente, Calif./Bishop Amat) had been committed to Duke, but a strong charge from the Bruins in recent weeks had the 5-foot-10, 162-pound two-way standout reconsidering things. On Sunday, after a night to sleep on UCLA's big win, Andrews decided the Bruins were the right choice.
"It was a hard decision, but I felt like it's where I need to be," Andrews said. "After the game I thought about it, but I didn't say anything to anybody. [Sunday] I made the call to Duke and to UCLA.
"I'm excited. I feel good and stress free. I'm feeling good about it."
