ESPN Watch List cornerback Jaleel Wadood (Bellflower, Calif./St. John Bosco) has emerged as one of the top Class of 2014 recruits in Southern California this fall. He burst onto the scene last year at Lakewood (Calif.) before transferring to St. John Bosco, which recently won its first-ever Trinity League title. On Friday night, Bosco advanced to the CIF Southern Section Pac-5 Division semifinals.
On Saturday, Wadood attended UCLA's 38-28 victory against crosstown rival USC at the Rose Bowl.
"It was a great experience," said Wadood, who has offers from Arizona State, Colorado and Oregon State. "It was my first UCLA-USC game. There were a lot of people there going crazy. I haven't heard much from USC this year. I've kind of waiting for them to talk to me. UCLA has sent me letters. I'm hoping to talk to both."
