Colorado State had two standout Southern California defenders on campus for official visits this past weekend in Encino (Calif.) Crespi teammates safety Brandon Arnold and outside linebacker Ray Davison. While Arnold is focused on a top two of California and Michigan State, and a recent offer from Northwestern tops Davison's list, both said the visit to see the Rams was productive.
"The trip was really good," Arnold said. "I just went in open-minded to see how it'd play out. They fed us a lot, which was a plus. They showed us around on the campus tour and we got to meet with the coaches and have some one-on-one time with the players."
Davison, who is being recruited by linebackers coach Tim Skipper, said he went into the visit with the thought that the coaching staff would be plenty emotional during the visit, based on what Skipper told him to expect.
