The Los Angeles Cathedral Phantoms are off to a 5-0 start this season behind a prolific passing attack that has accounted for 1,505 yards and 26 touchdowns. On Sunday, one of those receivers -- senior Torry McTyer -- received his first scholarship offer, as the California Golden Bears made the call.
McTyer said run-game coordinator and associate head coach Ron Gould reached him by telephone.
"He pretty much said that I'm a good athlete and he can see me in the program," McTyer said.
