Arizona is home to several highly recruited offensive linemen in the 2014 class, and tackle Andrew Mike (Tucson, Ariz./Sabino) continues to add to his offer sheet. The 6-foot-6, 275-pound tackle already held offers from Arizona, Arizona State, BYU and California, and heard from Utah earlier this week.
Mike said he has been in contact with Utah since the spring, when offensive line coach Dan Finn visited Sabino. Mike also visited to the Utah campus after a spring trip to BYU.
At this point, the junior tackle said he doesn’t feel any pressure to make an early decision, but he has done plenty of homework. In addition to trips to BYU and Utah, Mike also participated in camps at California and Stanford. He said that he has been paying attention to the academic and athletic successes of the programs that have shown interest to this point.
“I’m really just waiting everything out to see what is the best fit for me,” Mike said.
He’ll continue to explore the recruiting process this season, as he will make several visits to the local schools. Mike will start this weekend, as he’ll be in attendance when Arizona hosts Toledo, and he’ll visit Arizona State the following weekend, when the Sun Devils battle Illinois. Mike added that he would also like to visit California and Stanford for games this fall as well.
