Chase Blakley first caught the attention of Washington's coaching staff during the Northwest Elite Football Camp at Mercer Island (Wash.) High School in June.
The Huskies liked the 6-foot-4, 214-pound tight end (Coeur d’Alene, Idaho/Coeur d’Alene) so much, they invited him to their Rising Stars Camp later that month.
The junior’s performance at that event was enough for Washington coach Steve Sarkisian to call the 2014 prospect over and offer him a scholarship. Sarkisian asked Blakley if, “he wanted to be a Dawg.”
