Darius Allensworth (Romoland, Calif./Heritage) committed to the Arizona Wildats in April, but the 5-foot-11, 174-pound wide receiver saw his recruitment pick up in a big way after he made that pledge.
Wisconsin and California are two schools that made their way into the picture and now stand with Arizona as the final three schools for Allensworth, though he makes sure to point out that he is still committed to the Wildcats. But Allensworth will do as much research as he needs to do before he makes his decision final. He took an unofficial visit to Wisconsin earlier this month and will visit California next weekend. After that, he plans to regroup and announce a final decision on August 16, between his final three choices.
Wisconsin might seem an odd fit in that final grouping, but Allensworth, after recovering from his initial shock at the Badgers’ interest, didn’t hesitate to return the favor.
