Davonte Young (Bellflower, Calif./St. John Bosco) is one of the top junior running backs in the West. He’s sitting on one scholarship offer at the moment and is hearing from schools from all over the region.
Young was a freshman sensation two years ago, when he rushed for 1,612 yards at Irvine, Calif. He transferred to Tustin, Calif., before his sophomore year but was ruled ineligible and then transferred to Bosco.
Young was impressive last Friday against La Habra, Calif., rushing for 84 yards on 11 carries and one touchdown. On the year, Young has rushed for 366 yards and four touchdowns while averaging over six yards a carry.
