Washington State continued its hot run on the recruiting trail, as the Cougars added another dynamic offensive player Wednesday in tailback Gerard Wicks (Long Beach, Calif./Long Beach Poly).
Long Beach Poly assistant coach Doc Moye confirmed Wicks' commitment and said the 5-foot-10, 180-pound back was enamored with the school, the coaches and the thought of building a winning tradition at a program that has had it share of down seasons over the past few years.
Wicks rushed for 772 yards and 11 touchdowns for the Jackrabbits last season.
He is Washington State's ninth commitment in the 2013 class and the fifth in just this week.
