The Arizona Wildcats saw enough in Philip Wright (Santa Rosa, Calif./Cardinal Newman) to offer him a scholarship, and on Monday, the linebacker decided he had seen enough in the Wildcats to make a commitment.
The 6-foot-1, 229-pound inside linebacker made the call to end his recruiting process and said the decision was rather easy.
"Arizona was my first offer," he said. "They saw something that all the other schools overlooked."
Wright is the first linebacker to join Arizona's 2013 recruiting class. The Wildcats lead the Pac-12 conference with 12 commitments.
