Offensive tackle Nico Falah (Bellflower, Calif./St. John Bosco) was set to make a signing day announcement, but those plans have changed.
"I had been thinking about doing that for a while," Falah said of waiting until February. "But I'm going to make an earlier commitment, either during the season or before it. I don't want to drag schools through the process. It's not fair to them to make them wait and not be able to go after other guys."
Falah said moving up his timetable will be difficult, but he's confident that he'll be settled on his school of choice by that time. The 6-foot-4, 275-pound tackle is one of the most heavily recruited linemen in the region, but he has settled on a final five schools. California, Oklahoma, Oregon, UCLA and USC will battle it out for his services, with the hometown Bruins and Trojans out in front.
