Wide receiver Richard Smith (Long Beach, Calif./Poly) visited Arizona State over the weekend. The early Sun Devil pledge was scheduled to visit Oregon State next weekend but said he no longer will be taking any other visits.
"I'm done, I'm a Sun Devil," Smith said. "I loved it there and I'm a solid commitment and can't wait to get there. I feel like it's a new program now, and it's better than when I originally committed. The new staff is great, there's way more structure and discipline now and all the players on the team told me the change is definitely for the better.
"They all said the moment Coach Graham got there, there was different vibe, a more serious tone there. The old staff was more chill but the new staff is more business like and serious. I also liked the new strength coach a lot. He broke things down and showed us some before and after pictures of players that he has trained before. I need to get a lot stronger being a small guy, so that was good to see.”
