UCLA is on a nice recruiting run right now and that continued on Thursday when the Bruins picked up a commitment from athlete Nate Iese (Sacramento, Calif./Sheldon).
The 6-foot-4, 245-pound Iese is one of the most versatile players in the region and was being recruited at three different positions. He played defensive end and tight end for Sheldon but will play outside linebacker for the Bruins.
“Nate called up coach Mora and committed late tonight,” Okesene Iese, Nate’s father said Thursday. “He’s very relieved, this was stressful for him but he’s very excited as well. The pressure is off, and now he can just enjoy the rest of his senior year. He had a home visit with Cal scheduled and an official visit set for next week, but he canceled both of those.
