Offensive lineman Zach Banner (Lakewood, Wash./Lakes) will take his final official visit this weekend and also set the date for when he’ll be making his college choice.
Banner has already visited Michigan, Oklahoma, Notre Dame and Washington and will head to USC this week. He’s narrowed his choices to the Sooners, the Huskies and the Trojans.
“This will be my third time visiting USC,” Banner said. “I’m pretty excited about it. USC has been recruiting me hard for a long time, and I have a great relationship with the coaches there. I know a lot of the recruits, I’m familiar and like the area and campus and USC is a school that I loved watching when I was younger.
“The main things about the visits for me are just seeing if it’s a place I can be comfortable at. So far, Oklahoma and Washington, I know I can be comfortable there, I had great visits to both places. With USC, I loved my other visits but this will be good to stay the weekend and just see how I bond with the guys.”
Following the visit, Banner will take the next couple of weeks to sort things out.
“I’m going to wait until signing day to make my decision,” Banner said. “I have three great choices, so I want to take as much time as possible and make sure I’m doing the right thing. All three great programs have so much going for them that this is going to be a very hard choice and I honestly don’t know where I’m going right now.”
