One of the top offensive lineman on the West Coast in the Class of 2013 will be Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco standout Nico Falah, who landed his first BCS offer last week and will be a national recruit in the spring.
This past season, receiver Bryce Treggs was recruited by just about every school in the region and beyond and Falah will likely be recruited just as heavily.
“Nico will be recruited by everyone,” Braves coach Brian Treggs said. “He dominated at the combine in Arizona last week and has every tool you’re looking for in a lineman. He’s big, athletic and physical. UCLA just offered him and I expect him to be recruited by just about every top program in the nation.”
Utah State was the first school to offer Falah but the lineman admitted picking up an offer from the Bruins was special.
“My dad went to UCLA so I grew up a Bruin fan,” Falah said. “I went to a lot of UCLA games the last few years and this offer definitely means a lot to me and my family. Right now, it’s still really early for me and I’m open to everyone. I like USC a lot and a few other schools too and I have no plans to make an early commitment.
“I want to go through the recruiting process and take my visits. Right now, I don’t have any summer plans set but I’m sure I’ll check out some schools and go to some camps. I’m just really excited about the opportunity to be recruited by all of these programs and look forward to seeing how it all plays out.”
