It’s going to be a full week of football for defensive back Shaq Thompson (Sacramento, Calif./Grant). Thursday night, Thompson was in attendance at the Cal-USC game and will hit the road this weekend to see two more of his Pac-12 favorites.
Thompson, No. 22 in the ESPNU 150, took his first official visit to Washington a few weeks ago and will head back to the Northwest this week to check out the Oregon Ducks.
“I have my game Friday night and then I’ll leave Saturday morning,” Thompson said. “I’m looking forward to the visit and Oregon is kind of a new school on my list. They have been recruiting me for a while now and I decided it was probably a good thing to check them out since they have such a strong program right now.
“I’m also going to Notre Dame next weekend (Oct. 21). I heard they have a ton of players from all over visiting so it should be a fun weekend. For my last two visits, I’m still looking at all the same schools. Michigan, UCLA, USC, Florida and Arizona State and I’ll just do an unofficial visit to Cal since they’re close to home.”
